CHRISTMAS CHARITIES 2011

Coventry Resource Centre for the Blind, Northampton and Warwickshire Air Ambulance, Orbis, Smile Train and Tiny Tims.Total raised £577

COVENTRY MYTON HOSPICE The total sum raised for the 2011 project was £3477.44p  and will be presented at the February Parade service

The Project for  2012 is Global Care. This will be launched on Sunday Feb: 11th 2012

Girls Brigade App Workshop

On Monday evening (30th January) the Girls Brigade Seniors took part in a mobile phone app workshop run by the Technology Volunteers.  The girls  split into teams and with limited time available they were challenged to develop a design for a mobile phone app.   The next challenge was to present the designs to the group.  Each group came up with original and creative designs,  and entertaining presentations –  it was a fun evening.

Christmas Charity News

Carol Singing at Tesco Jubilee Crescent raised £74 for this years Christmas Charities (Coventry Resource Centre for the Blind, Northampton and Warwickshire Air Ambulance, OrbisSmile Train and Tiny Tims Centre).  The final total raised for Christmas Charities came to £577

The fundraising for the church charity project (Coventry Myton Hospice) has now reached £3500 and will be presented on Feb:12 th 2012

We also collected goods needed for the Coventry Open Christmas Project.   Three car boot loads of goods given by members of the congregation were delivered to Queens Road Baptist Church to support the Coventry Open Christmas shelter (now in its 20th year).

Apple Fundraising

Roy and Beryl Shakespeare have been selling their home grown apples to raise money for the Tiny Tims Childrens Centre in Coventry.  Its been a bumper year for apples, and they’ve raised £121, to further the work of the centre.

Beryl also made apple pies to raise funds for this years Church Project,  Coventry Myton Hospice, and raised a further £43.
