Community life at Holyhead Road is more than services on Sunday!

There are various activities organised by the church throughout the week (and the year) for different age ranges, and a wide range of other activities also use the church building.

Due to current restrictions, all activities within the church building are temporarily closed – but we look forward to offering them again as soon as it is safe to do so. PLEASE NOTE – Girls’ Brigade is continuing via Zoom links!

In the interim, we have provided some links to ideas which might help those who are staying at home with children. We hope that these are useful and give you further ideas of how to use your time! Check out the sub-menu for puzzles, colouring pages, videos and starter study links.

How else does the community use the church and building? See below:

Every Thursday at 10am, the church welcomes a group called Artventures who use the main hall. One of the mums described it: “It’s a class where your babies can get as messy as anything with paint, chocolate and all kinds of fun! Anything goes in this class and it’s so friendly and enjoyable for parents and children”. The photos below (reproduced with parental permission) certainly seem to back this up!

Safeguarding at Holyhead Road

We are committed to the well-bring of all users of our church facilities at all times. The church has a safeguarding policy, which is displayed in the church foyer area. All those who use the premises are required to familiarise themselves with this policy and to agree to abide by its requirements. It includes contact details for the church’s joint Designated Safeguarding Persons.

The appendix below (click to see enlarged version) includes our Statement of Safeguarding Intent – this can be found on noticeboards in the foyer area and in the corridor by the main hall.
